We’ve had rumors, rumors, and more rumors, but now “someone very, very close to the 3G iPhone launch” has confirmed the 3G iPhone will be released June 9th at the WWDC Keynote.
International users will have the phone within a few weeks of the US launch – not the previously rumored end of ’08. Also notable, the iPhone will (at least in some countries) NOT be selling at a… [Read More]

As if there is any doubt that the 3g iPhone is coming soon
As if there is any doubt that the 3g iPhone is coming soon. Some 3g settings have been found in the 2.0 firmware.
The settings page was found in the latest beta release of 2.0 firmware. IF you don’t know, 3g drains cell phone batteries very quickly. Don’t worry in an effort to save some battery life Apple has included a setting to turn 3g off, and use normal slow edge instead.
So with your 3g iPhone you’ll have a choice, murder your battery or surf at 1995 speeds.

Update 5/04/08 – Beta/Debug release 2
Update 5/04/08 – Beta/Debug release 2
Warning This is still a Beta release. It’s pretty stable but i would still advise waiting for final release
This release is not disabled in anyway. I no longer use QEMU and You will see some new features and will notice that it takes < 60 seconds to build and IPSW (at least on my machine). I have had reports that it has issues with Ipod 2.0225C but other then that it should work perfectly. If you find a bug please email me ( cmw@toc2rta.com ). This was built as a Debug bin and no code obfuscation was used. I will release full sources after we finish more beta tests
I would also like to note that this release would not be possible without the work of Squpix and Planetbeing who have helped develop and test winpwn.
